Well, because of myself.... Three of us are playing Travian AND I'm owning at it. I'm about top 300 at the time of this post and my hero is ranked #21. I don't know how long I will be up there, but as long as I keep doing what I'm doing, I'm sure I'll be fine. The armies are coming together and I'm heading more towards offensive then defensive now. My defense base is already set up and I'm pumping out hundreds of troops. I'm also getting my Smithy to level 20.
As for Bear, he's just playing at his own pace. Not really winning, but not exactly losing either.
Crookedstep is advancing quickly. I'm also supplying LOTS of wood to Cuntsville. lol...
War is upon us. PREPARE YOSELVES!

The birth of NK...
After CG went down for a year or two thanks to Ghidorah (sp?), we were torn between shards and looking for homes. We just kind of played Halo and a little bit of SC/BW custom maps for a while. We heard word of CG coming back up and got on as soon as it did. They did a complete item wipe due to prior corruption (typical on any server) and left you with a naked character. You still had all of your skills however. Just like the other servers, we lost interest rather fast until someone found ABC UO. By that time, we had met Bear irl and somehow spread the UO virus to him.
ABC UO was new to us because we never played on an AoS server. We were used to the standard Pre-AoS UO. Also, on ABC there was no skill cap, so everyone had the potential to work up everything. I started Gerard which was my happy miner/fisher. On ABC though, he was basically my crafter/macroer. We had LOADS of ingots because of him. We got into the BOD system and could fill MANY orders. I also organized the SHIT out of them. Ahh... I actually miss the crafting on that game. The system was so simple, yet gave amazing end game goals. :0( Gerard was one of the few that had 120 blacksmithy. I didn't know of ANYONE else that got a +20 BS PS.
Aside from having a decent income and steady commodity, we became pretty hated pretty fast. We had shitty items though and would get rocked 1v1, but we were hardly ever caught alone. When we finally made this shard our true home, we started building 18x18 custom plots all around cove. We even bought out local houses that were just sitting there.
When we came together, we were trying to come up with a name for ourselves that had meaning to us and to the game. Everytime you killed an innocent player, you lost karma. We did it so often that we had negative karma, no matter what good deeds we may or may not have done. Thus, NK was born.
On ABC, we met a lot of NK members that stuck with us for a while. Some still are with us, Frankie, & Aaron. Aaron's brother was with us off and on and I think that if we found something good, he'd stick around longer. We almost always fought together. When we killed someone, they would get dry looted. Any clothes they had on them would be cut up thanks to our insured scissors in out backpack and we would then cut up their bodies and take their head. We had so many heads on display at our house that we had to start placing them in other houses because we ran out of lock downs.
At some point in the game, we found that the house right outside of bucs den disappeared or something. I can't remember how, but we obtained that land. That started EVEN MORE PvP battles, and we have the Bucs Den baNKer right there by us. So since we were red, it didn't really affect us since we still had easy access to our bank boxes. The love for UO eventually faded away after at least a good year of crazy PvPing. My book of kills on that server broke 1000 and I had well over 1000 long term murder counts. Our house outside of the Bucs Den portal still stands today. Thanks to Frankie for refreshing it.
Someone needs to post the chili recipee and other books that we had on here. Even if they are just screen shots.

A little NK history... From Trance's PoV. Pre-NK
Before NK was NK, we were a group of irl friends playing UO on a server called Crystal Gate (http://www.crystalgate.org/ It still exists! :0x ). CWO runs that server now. I used to fish with him when he was a player about 10 or 11 years ago... Anyway! These were our true n00b days. We were a bunch of high school teens that fell into this trap of a game. We started a guild called GoP. Not Gays on Parade, as some have speculated, it actually stood for Guardians of Paradise. At the time, it was just myself, Nocternal, Asatamer, Imp, and a few other random n00bs.
Since this was 10 or 11 years ago, I only remember a few things. I remember Nocternal looting a "soothsayer" item and selling it for 85k on the autionhouse. With that money, he purchased a small two story log cabin and placed it just outside of NE Brit. Near the lake on the opposite side of the Brit GY. There, we shared chests and worked on our skills together. We started allying other guilds and warring as many as we could, which was dumb because we didn't even have GM swords. Lol.....
We started fighting with a guild call KoH, which stood for Knights of Honor. The guys name was Sir August or something like that! I can't remember it exactly as it was because it's been so long. We warred them for so long and kept owning them that they had to disband their guild and remake it because it took both parties to end the war. So then we requested to be allies with them. They accepted and guess what? As soon as they accepted, they turned green to us as if they were in our guild. So we continued to attack them. There would be random fights all over Brit. I'm sure they ABSOLUTELY HATED us. So needless to say, the random people that they had in their guild left and they continuously tried reporting us for bug abuse but it never worked. They eventually disbanded and quit. Aside from that little PvP, I just fished and mined and wasn't good at anything except fishing. :0P
